What Type of Work Can Be Performed on Cars during the Race ?
No work can be performed on the car after it has been checked-in except cleaning of the wheels between heats. No re-lubing is allowed !! If you are caught working on your car after the car has been inspected, the car will be dis-qualified from racing with no refund !! The only exception to this rule is if the car is damaged during the race. This will be covered.
Car Damage ?
In the event a car is damaged, the racer will be given time to fix it, if the car can be fixed. We are all adults and experienced racers and would be the first to know if a car can be fixed in a minimal amount of time. If your car becomes damaged and you know it cannot be fixed in a reasonable amount of time or cannot be fixed at all, please say so !!
Are there rules of conduct ?
Yes, We are all adults and are expected to act like adults. Please refrain from use of vulgar language or inappropriate behavior. Fighting, arguing will result in you being asked to leave the event !! No exceptions !!
Will there be a designated car holding area ?
Yes, there will be tables set up for the cars to be placed at. ALL racing cars must be there, no personal "pit areas" are allowed. Everyones cars must be on the designated tables. Cars must remain on the table until called to race and returned after.
Is there food available to purchase at the race ?
Yes, Do to the Car Show going on, there will be concession stands throughout the fairgrounds and they will be open Saturday during the race
Is there an age limit on cars ?
No, any car meeting the 2010 PWDRacing rules and passing inspection is allowed to race.
What if a car jumps the track ?
The heat will be re-run. If it happens again, the car in question will be Dqed. We can't allow a racers car to continue if it may cause damage to the other participants cars.
